Before starting
Always use oilcare or floor soap. The floor soap contains vegetable oils and natural wax that restores and protects the wood. Floor soap is available as natural or white pigmented in building and paint merchants. Do NOT use regular soap or other cleaning solvents containing tensides.
Everyday cleaning
Vaccum the floor as often as you want or need.
- Mop the floor.
- Shake the floor soap before use and mix a few caps with lukewarm water.
- Wipe with a mop or cloth in the direction of the wood fibre. Do not use too much water.
- Dry the floor with a cloth.
Yearly maintenance
About 1-2 times per year you should give your floor some extra care.
- Mop the floor with 25-50% floor soap mixed with lukewarm water. Dry the water up carefully.
- Mop with concentrated oilcare over the entire surface. Let it dry for approximately 20 minutes.
Stubborn dirt
If the floor surface is very dry or dirty it can be restored accordingly:
- Dampen the stain with water.
- Rub concentrated soap on the stain with your fingers. Let it soak for about 4 minutes.
- Remove the stain with a Scotch-Brite and wipe the area with a cloth.
- On white pigmented floors you may have to restore the white pigment.
- Drip concentrated white soap on the stain and let it dry.
Small damages
- Pour a little water on the damaged area (scratch, indentation etc).
- Put a wet cloth on top and iron with a hot iron on the cloth. The wood will rise due to the water and heat and "self-heal".
